An IAS officer of 1997 Batch Kerala Cadre.

Done Graduation in Mathematics, Post Graduation in Operations Research and Masters in international Development Policy from Duke University, USA.

Worked in different capacities in different Departments of the Government of Kerala and Government of Jharkhand like Finance (Commercial Taxes), Urban Administration, Department, Social Welfare Department, Water Resources etc.

Presently on Central deputation since 9th May, 2015 and working as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Shipping.

Has been assigned the work of Sagarmala Programme which aims to promote port-led development in the country. The programme aims to modernize existing ports and develop new green-field ports, improve port connectivity to the hinterland and develop optimal multi-modal logistic solution to reduce the logistics cost. It also aims to harness the potential of inland waterways / coastal shipping and achieve efficient cargo movement. The programme will also focus on the development of Coastal Economic Zones (CEZs) with projects like port-based industrialization, coastal tourism, logistic parks etc. in alignment with the other initiatives such as ‘Make in India’, ‘Skill India’ etc. and various Industrial Corridor projects.
